Abstract
Air Plasma Spraying is a technological variant of thermal spraying which allows processing of nearly every congruent melting feedstock. This paper focuses on a methodology for the numerical prediction of the mechanicalv properties of the plasma sprayed coatings based on the process parameters. In the future the capability of the coatings to control the heat transfer between mould and molten plastics for injection moulding shall be investigated further to find out the applicability of the coatings to injection moulding.
