The particle diagnostic system SprayWatch 4s from Oseir determines the velocity and temperature of glowing particles in the free-jet. In order to do this, the particle jet is recorded with a CCD camera. Due to the relative short exposure times, the glowing and fast particles can be captured. These particles appear as lines in the images. The particle velocities are then determined based on the length of these lines and the exposure times. The particle temperatures are calculated using two-color pyrometry.

The measurement system HiWatch CS from Oseir consists of a camera and an illumination unit. This particle diagnostic system can determine the velocity and the size of cold particles, which are not glowing. Each particle is recorded multiple times in an image by a pulsed laser illumination. This creates a particle sequence in the image. The particle velocities are calculated based on the length of the particle sequence and the particle sizes are determined from the particle reflection intensity.
